Perchance to dream

Non-stop days working. Late nights and a lot of energy spent.

Last night, I could not sleep. Anxious thoughts about the future, job, what if's, all this, and all that. Something was keeping me awake. And some loneliness, too.

Out of town M-W for a job related meeting. Good. Excellent speaker. Had the chance to come out to some colleagues, quietly, privately. Support, hugs, love all round. Well, almost all. One or two a bit cool, but nothing ugly. It just is what it is.

Sleep. Sleep, now. Well, not quite yet. . . . .

Sleep that knits up the raveled sleeve of care.

Worry not, o infinite soul. There is so much more than this! So much love. :-*

I hate those restless, mind-won't-quit nights!

I am happy to hear that overall your news had acceptance with your colleagues.

You comment that you came out to your colleagues and downplay the importance of the event so casually. Was it really that easy for you, to earn only a few sentences? Perhaps the sleepless night has its roots in those moments, giving you a glimpse of your future (to which you allude briefly). What do you see?

Joe, It was a significant week for you. Your coming out to collegues, that is significant! Also difficult and scary, I know from my own experience. Remember God is in control, God made you who you are. I sense God's call on your life. God will open the doors in his time. Which is most difficult to deal with since we want it in our time.

Congratulations on coming out to your colleagues!
Recently I have had a few of those mind-won't-stop nights. Not fun.

Jesus doesn't only love straight people. He has room for all who call on his name.

.. although I just realized I'm commenting on your "about me" section, and not really on this post. I have a hard time paying attention now and then...

Congrats on the coming out, I agree with the others, don't down play this as you worked really hard to get to this point, so of course we are all going to smile and be proud of you Joe. I have a strong feeling you will do well where ever you go! :)

Glad to hear that you are progressing nicely in your journey to come out. May it continue as smoothly as it has been. Safe travels during your business trip. Hopefully you can get some time to enjoy while you are away.
