Sunday, I'm off to the beach! My daughters and their mom have been there for the week. Mom will come home, and I'll be with them for the next few days, then bring them home. It's an arrangement that has worked for us.

The girls have taken my coming out well, in general. But as more settles in, they are a bit unsettled. My youngest is troubled by it all, but won't talk about "it" much with her mom and not at all with me. But I am glad that she still does want to talk to me, just not about "it".

I can live with this, but it is tough when "it" is me. We will get there. I know. I hope. With time they will see that I am not so different. It's just now they know.

The weather has been great (albeit too dry) and I've had a bad cold, gone to bronchitis. Much of this week I've slept. Ugh. Feeling much better.

here's hoping you have a great time with your kids. I just spent a few days with my daughter, and it was (figuratively) a week at the seashore. You have the literal seashore as well, so you should be in great shape when you head home.

All the best

I hope the sea air does you good and that the time with your daughters opens opportunities for positive conversations.

Time at the shore? I am so jealous of you! Just enjoy the time together, don't try to make anything happen. Just be there for your girls and they will come around.

I told you my situation with my dad when he came out. Just be there and have a great time doing things which make you all laugh, it will do so much for all of you.

It is important to remember that children do not always find it easy to talk to their straight parents about lots of things, particularly in the area of sexuality. I think the advice to just be there makes lots of sense. All in God's time.

Hope the days together are blessed in themselves, even if no major issues have to get resolved.

I hope you have a great time on your vacation, I also hope that maybe your girls can open up to you and have a really good heart to heart talk.
